Soooo, This is supposed to be my first “OFFICIAL” blog for my new website, workoutboss.com, and I just want to say this up front…”I HATE WRITING!” But, at the same time, I do want to help my friends & clients (FRIENTS, as I call them), and I want to help as many new people as I can, so here it goes!!!

WHY DID I START THIS BUSINESS AND WHO IS THIS WORKOUT BOSS GUY?

Chris Aiello-Founder/ Personal Trainer/L.M.T.

I started this business back in 2009 because I wanted to work for myself while doing something I was told I am good at. I graduated from, then Lakeside School of Massage Therapy in 2007 (now Herzing University), and immediately started working 8 hour days at a popular spa in Milwaukee. I loved it! And I couldn’t believe I was getting paid to massage people, or as I looked at it, help them with their aches and pains. I’ve paralleled massage (good) Massage Therapy, Therapeutic Massage Therapy, with the story of the Lion and the Mouse (or Mouse and the Lion, whichever you prefer). The Lion (client) goes about his day angrily roaring and growling at people, feeling mad and scaring people away…aka not his true self. But along comes this little Mouse who notices that the REAL issue with the Lion is that he has this nasty thorn is his foot that he can’t get out. SO, being the good mouse that I am, I help my clients remove their “thorns” so they can be themselves again. That’s it. That’s all I do all day. I know, it is too good to be true.

So in addition to becoming Licensed in Massage Therapy, I also decided to become a Personal Trainer, like my Dad. He really influenced me from an early age to eat healthy, always exercise and take care of my body. All by example mind you. He never forced fitness down my throat. It was his thing, I just watched in awe and exercise routines and proper form became like second nature to me, so I decided to add that skill to my repertoire. It came in very handy as a massage therapist, because so many people I worked on had chronic issues that would only require more massage, but I knew that strengthening certain muscle groups could help alleviate some of their discomfort…thus the start of the company, Workout Boss.

Contrary to popular belief the name Workout Boss does not refer to myself or any trainer. It refers to the client! I wanted my clients to become the ‘Bosses of their own bodies’. Not disease, not their posture, not their diet, not the environment they grew up in, THEM! I could teach them, as my dad taught and demonstrated to me that anyone can help themselves learn to become fit, active and not walk around in so much pain all the time like the Lion.

So there you have it. My first blog. I will try to write every week as my web designer insists I do. Thanks for reading. Be sure to come see us if you need that thorn removed from your…body!

Yours in Health,
Chris Aiello Jr.

WOB, I am very impressed with your dedication and passion to your client’s health and fitness. Too often I see trainers disrespecting their clients while not paying attention to them. You sound like a “hands on” trainer. We need more of you! AA

There’s no greater way to learn but by example! I like the philosophy behind the name; I had no idea WORKOUT BOSS was in reference to the client…but you’re right on given that our bodies are our temples. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. I heard your massages are GREAT! Looking forward to my visit!
